The
HVX-200 records in DVC-Pro-HD 720p. Using a DOF-Adapter (DOF: depth of
field) it is possible to create a "film-look" in a digital,
non-film-based workflow. The image looks much softer compared to the look
without DOF-adapter. And of course it is possible to create a shallow
depth of field to focus the object and blur the environment. The result
looks much more like a "film" than a "video". No doubt,
the real 35 mm-Image has a much bigger dynamic and colour range but a
real film production has a much bigger financial effort. |

The
"follow focus" is an important tool to change the focus dynamically
in a very creative way. The effect is in the film much stronger than in
a still image, because it is possible to change the focus point within
a scene. Its the best way to affect the attentiveness of the public. The
matte-box is not only for reducing the scattering light, its the holder
for the optical filters, like polarizers, ND-filters etc. |
